Future Framed

Nights
Stained
With
An apologetic darkness
Hearts
Pained
With
The senses being helpless
Future
Framed
By those
Captured
In hideous madness
Souls
Trained
To ignore and deny
A very deep sadness.

A bullet does not change an enemy into a friend it ends him and the chance forever.

Thank you Gulnaz, the line "Night stained by apologetic darkness," woke up my muse for a moment.
peace

love is the greatest gift given to man, but we're good at destroying that too.

you've expressed well the anguish and confusion i felt, still feel at last week's events in mumbai and another thing that struck me is that compassion and empathy for another's pain is an attribute which we don't care about much now. the less we can feel another's pain the more likely we are to inflict pain upon another.

Thanks, A.A. A beautiful response to a beautiful, if painful outpouring of grief.

For all of our 'communication' technology, we are less and less able to communicate, aren't we. We no longer hear or feel each other's heart beats. Very sad.

Misti - There is something in human nature we must acknowledge or risk it devouring our future. What is it? That is the real question. Good to hear from you!

Gulnaz - The language of exclusion even at it's most mundane allows for the seed of hate to form, exclusion has become the rule in most of today's societies. Attribution opposed to contribution. Thank you for the comment and that line, " night stained."

Daniel M - Good to hear from you!

Doug B - I am not sure if the technologies of today are the problem I believe our societies are flawed, focus on the individual in opposition to the community ; Instant gratification with no regard or awareness of the externalities created. Thank you for the comment.
